EXPERTISE
Sue started her legal career in 1988 working for a firm in South Essex. She qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 1994 and became a collaboratively trained lawyer in 2006.
Initially specialising in domestic abuse cases, Sue has 35 years’ experience of family law covering all areas from divorce, finances (especially high net worth cases involving complex and challenging issues such as family businesses, trusts and pensions), children’s cases, grandparents’ issues, pre and post nuptial agreements, civil partnerships and so on.
As a lawyer dedicated to improving the practice of family law for all, Sue was the Press Officer for Essex Resolution for many years and has given numerous interviews on radio and television as well as family law update lectures to local Citizen Advice Bureaus and the Grandparents Association.
Sue is a member of Resolution and follows its code of conduct. She is open and approachable, believes that communication is the key to reaching settlement and enjoys the challenge of resolving matters without the need for court proceedings.
